Dr. Todd Austin is the S. Jack Hu Professor of Computer Science and Engineering at the University of Michigan and a leading voice in the world of computer hardware security and computer architecture. He was previously a Senior Computer Architect at Intel’s Microcomputer Research Labs. He is an IEEE Fellow and received the ACM Maurice Wilkes Award for “innovative contributions in Computer Architecture” including the DIVA and Razor architectures and the performance analysis tool SimpleScalar.
Dr. Valeria Bertacco is an Arthur F. Thurnau Professor of Computer Science and Engineering at the University of Michigan. She leads the multi-university, DARPA/SRC-sponsored, Applications Driving Architectures (ADA) Center, which investigates next-generation heterogeneous architectures to be deployed in the 2030s. Her research broadly contributes to the design of verifiably secure and reliable systems: they include the Semantic Guardians solution and the OMEGA graph processing accelerator. She is an IEEE Fellow and a recipient of the IEEE CEDA Early Career Award.
Alex Kisil specializes in computer architecture design and side-channel resistance techniques. Prior to joining Agita Labs, he was a researcher at University of Michigan, where he developed novel techniques in differential power analysis and hardware security. He received his BS in Computer Engineering from the University of Michigan.
Amy Wirth brings a strong set of business skills to Agita as our Chief Financial Officer, including depth in designing business processes and building teams. Prior to Agita she worked for 15+ years at Ford Motor Company where she had the opportunity to work within their business incubator for several years. Michael Bowersock joined Agita Labs with years of experience developing full-stack mobile and web applications for an assortment of startups, with duties ranging from setting up their cloud infrastructure, to prototyping customer-facing applications. He graduated from the University of Michigan where he earned his BS in Computer Science. Outside of Agita Labs, Michael is a board member of the non-profit Moustache Classic Foundation, and he is a competitive chess player having earned himself the title of National Master.
Imogen Foster joined Agita Labs after graduating from the University of Michigan with a BS in Computer Science. She is a software engineer with experience in full stack development. She interned with the Center for Data and Computing at the University of Chicago where she helped design and develop the website for a project called Foundry. She also worked on building out the backend for the project and implementing a comprehensive testing structure. While not working, Imogen enjoys music, crafts, and spending time with her two cats, Zuko and Bobo.
